Double Trouble! 3 1/2 month old twin boys Mateo & Lorenzo!

I learn something new with every shoot!  I kind of already knew this... but I LOVE taking pictures of babies!  Mateo & Lorenzo gave us 30 minutes of happy time yesterday which was great!

Below are a few of my favorites!

Prep for the Market Collective in December

My mom asked me if I wanted to share a table with her at Decembers Market Collective so I've been going through my images to see if I had anything "art worthy".  I thought I would share a couple of my favorites.

I'm looking forward to having a few prints for sale but I think I'm going to focus on a series of Christmas art cards.

Cheers - Kim

Chu Cuties!

So I had this brilliant idea to do a shoot at these rocking horses that sit along a pathway in Tuscany.  I got there and some teenager (I'm assuming) has spraypainted X's over the eyes of the horses and they look dead.  Very annoying... but the shoot must go on and was glad I brought a miniture pumpkin for a prop.
I had a blast shooting Caleb (3) and Aly (15 months)!  Aly was mellow (not giving out too many smiles) but I got some cute shots and Caleb was all over the place having a blast.  Below are some of the pumpkin/action shots.  The rocking horse shots are good but will need a bit more editing before being released...stay posted!

Lessons
1. make sure your shoot location hasn't been vandalized
2. always have a back up plan

My New Camera!

Last week I got a new camera!  Thanks to a Futureshop no interest equal payments plan (which I will pay off in full as soon as I get back to work) I have myself a new Canon 7D!  I am super excited about this camera.  My old camera was a Canon Rebel XT which served me well.  I learned so much on the XT because the noise (grain) on anything higher than 400 was awful and I loathe direct flash!  So.. I basically kept it at 200 ISO and just tried to make it work.

I can't tell you where this will take me but I'm excited to take some great photos!

Below are a couple pictures of Parker and Chipit from Friday.
